Little Lion Preschool and Childcare

Little Lion Preschool and Childcare is a home-based preschool and childcare program. The program can accept up to 12 children at a time, with a teacher/student ratio of 1:4. It embraces diversity and welcomes all races, religions, and sexual orientations, and the founders share their Brazilian culture with the children.

• Ages: 12 months–4.5 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday–Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with part-time options 2, 3, or 4 days per week and half days with pick up by 12:45 pm
• Price: There is no pro-rated tuition for half-days.

Little Lion Preschool and Childcare was founded in 2007 by Rosane Zenha and her husband, Jeorson Santos, who are both from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. They are parents of two boys and together have over 20 years of experience with children. The program is licensed by the California Community Care Licensing Agency, with license number 013419343, and is an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Staff members are required to have a TB test, background check, CPR, Preventative Health, and First Aid training. Business hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and there is no before or after care available. Half days are accepted with pick up no later than 12:45 pm, and tours of the home-based facility are offered on Fridays by appointment only. When a child joins Little Lion Preschool and Childcare, the stated hope is that the child will feel at home, experience the joy of discovery, and make lifelong friends, and the program looks forward to sharing the excitement of learning with each child and family.
