Little Lion Preschool and Childcare

Little Lion Preschool and Childcare is a home-based preschool and childcare program. The program offers care for a small group of children with a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:4. Tours of the program are offered on Fridays by appointment only.

• Ages: 1–4 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with part-time options for 2, 3, or 4 days and half days with pick-up by 12:45 pm

Little Lion Preschool and Childcare was founded in 2007 by Rosane Zenha and her husband, Jeorson Santos. Rosane and Jeorson are both from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and they share their Brazilian culture with the children. They are parents of two boys and together have over 20 years of experience with children. The program is licensed by the California Community Care Licensing Agency and can accept up to 12 children, ages 12 months to 4.5 years old. Staff members are required to have a TB test, background check, CPR, Preventative Health, and First Aid training. The program is active in the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The program states that it welcomes all races, religions, and sexual orientations. The program does not offer before or after care. The mission of Little Lion Preschool and Childcare states that when a child joins the Little Lion family, the hope is that the child will feel at home, experience the joy of discovery, and make lifelong friends, and that the program looks forward to sharing the excitement of learning with each child and family.
