About
Rhythm and Moves Music Education Programs offers summer experiences that combine sports, music, and fun movement activities. The program’s music education component includes hands-on classroom experiences and performance opportunities, and its physical education component is organized around movement activities supported by equipment.
• Schedule: Week-long experiences with full day, half day, and hourly options, including programs scheduled daily, half day programs in conjunction with summer school, and hourly options as part of a summer school schedule
Since its founding in 1984, Rhythm and Moves Music Education Programs has focused on a unique music and physical education curriculum that motivates students by giving them opportunities for self-direction and responsibility. The program is WASC Accredited and has more than 30 years as dedicated music and physical education specialists. Its standards-based curriculum is divided into units supported by the use of equipment, and every student is given learning experiences where they manipulate their own piece of equipment to support learning of the material being taught. Enthusiastic and experienced teachers provide a structure-based learning environment, and the program continually evolves to include the personality and dialogue from individual teachers, students, parents, and communities.
