• Ages: 3–12 years old

Flying Angels Gymnastics is described as an innovative preschool gymnastics and movement education program that brings physical education into schools, preschools, and daycare centers throughout the Northbay. The company joins inspired, energetic, and experienced gymnastics instructors with local schools and preschools, with programs throughout Marin and Sonoma Counties and instructors teaching classes in over 25 schools in the North Bay. Lessons use proven learning steps and innovative “brain challenges,” with small classes that use specialized equipment while children navigate obstacle courses and fitness stations at their school. Classes are held at school so parents drive less, pay less, and stress less, and a free trial class for schools is available. Flying Angels Gymnastics also offers birthday parties and field trips to preschools or elementary schools.

Steve Sassone is the founder of Flying Angels Gymnastics and the Director of the Northbay office of Kidpower, which is described as an internationally recognized child safety program. He has been a professional instructor since 1981 and is Kinder-Accredited and Safety Certified through USA Gymnastics. Nancy Rush is the Director of Pre School Gymnastics at Rohnert Park Gymnastics in a past role. A statement from Steve Sassone explains that, “By giving children repeated success experiences at each step of the learning process, children develop the confidence to take on increasingly more complex challenges, physically, mentally and socially.” The mission of Flying Angels Gymnastics states that its lessons support the collaboration between a young child’s brain and body and directly support the educational goals of preschools and elementary schools.
