About the provider
California Home School Sports (CHSS) was created in 2003. The page says CHS Sports started in 1995 with a summer soccer camp, and that by 2006 CHSS unanimously became the league for home school teams in Southern California. The mission statement says the program desires that every home-schooled child will have the opportunity to participate in physical education classes and athletic competition, and that it is designed around Biblical principles. It also says coaches are asked to take an active role in teaching the fruits of the spirit, to lead by example by putting God first in everything, and to set aside regular devotional times for sharing and teaching God's Word during practice and game events.
