California Home School Sports offers sports activities for home-schooled children, including basketball, soccer, football, tennis, softball, track and field, and physical education classes. The program also runs events such as the March Gladness Basketball Tournament, the Home School Volleyball Championships, and the Home School Track and Field Invitational.
Christian Heritage Sports (CHS Sports), which led to California Home School Sports (CHSS), started in 1995, and in 2003 CHSS was created as a 501c3 nonprofit organization. By 2006, CHSS became the league for home school teams in Southern California, and starting with the 2013–14 school year there were eight home school groups or schools that were members of The CHSS League in Southern California. Jeff Paterson led a summer soccer camp in 1995 as part of this history.

The organization hosts three home school championship events that bring in home schoolers from many areas of California and neighboring states, including the March Gladness Basketball Tournament, the Home School Volleyball Championships, and the Home School Track and Field Invitational.
The stated mission of California Home School Sports is that every home-schooled child will have the opportunity to participate in physical education classes and athletic competition. The sports program is described as being designed around Biblical principles that instill Godly character traits, with a goal that each child improves to the best of their ability and improves their God-given talents. Coaches are asked to take an active role in teaching the fruits of the spirit as found in Galatians 5:22–24, and to lead by example by putting God first in everything, as referenced in Colossians 3:23. The ultimate goal stated by the program is that each person is improving their talents as they learn Christian character traits through participation in a variety of sport activities.
