Learn to Bike Camp focuses on helping kids practice specific biking skills in a half-day format. Campers spend time biking, walking their bikes, scooting downhill, coasting with their feet up, touching the pedals, and pedaling. The program follows a progression from scooting to coasting to pedaling and is intended for first-time riders or kids using training wheels or balance bikes, not those who can already ride.
• Ages: 3–6 years old
• Schedule: One-week sessions, Monday–Friday, morning only from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
• Price: AM Session Price $460; Total Camp Hours 15; Early Drop Off starting at 8 AM $40
Instructors at Learn to Bike Camp are described as skilled, patient, incredibly well-trained and professional staff, and are experienced instructors. Avid4 Instructors are all 18 and older with serious safety and skills training and are described as having impeccable credentials. Camper-to-staff ratios are 5:1 for individual attention and personalized coaching. Campers are strongly encouraged to use their own bikes, but they may also borrow from the camp's fleet, and all campers must be toilet trained by the start of camp.
Learn to Bike Camp is part of Avid4 Adventure, which states that it believes in the transformative power of the outdoors and that kids build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in activities like paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking. Avid4 Adventure is accredited by the American Camp Association, named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps, and is a Certified B Corp. The organization operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service. The camp is backed by the Avid4 Adventure Guarantee, which promises an authentic outdoor adventure, incredibly well-trained and professional staff, and increased confidence, and if these promises are not met, the next Avid4 Adventure camp is free.
