Avid4 Adventure Camps states that it believes in the transformative power of the outdoors. Avid4 Instructors are all 18 and older, with serious safety and skills training, and are described by parents as the number one point of positive feedback. The leadership team includes founder David Secunda, who is a former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry.

The program is a Certified B Corp, is accredited by the American Camp Association, and has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps. Avid4 Adventure Camps offers transportation to and from recreation areas, access to top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids, an Avid4 Adventure Guarantee, and financial assistance. One parent in September 2023 reported that their child learned to ride a bike without training wheels during camp and especially enjoyed stand up paddle board, kayaking, and biking, while other parents in 2023 described the staff as mature, responsible, and excited to share their passion, and noted that their kids talked about camp for weeks and were active every day.
