Expedition Multi-Sport – Sly Park offers a weeklong multi-sport expedition camp where campers take part in white water rafting, Stand Up Paddleboarding, mountain biking, camping, teambuilding, paddling, rock climbing, hiking, and kayaking. Campers explore local landscapes by day and sleep in basecamp tents at night, with transportation provided to and from recreation areas and access to top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids. The program has a Difficulty Rating of 1 – Entry Level Adventure and a Wilderness Rating of 1 – Improved Site Camping, with no access to showers or running water, access to portable or pit toilets without flush capabilities, and all water brought to the site filtered for drinking, hand washing, and food preparation.

A sample daily schedule runs from a 7:00 AM wake-up, Morning Circle at 7:15 AM, and breakfast at 7:30 AM, through Self & Group Care at 8:30 AM, Adventure #1 starting at 9:00 AM, lunch at noon, and Adventure #2 (or continuation of Adventure #1) at 1:00 PM, followed by Hang Out & Bond at 5:00 PM, Evening Circle at 5:45 PM, dinner at 6:00 PM, an Evening Activity at 7:00 PM, and Tent Time/Bedtime at 9:00 PM. Campers are grouped with no more than 13 per group and 2 staff members. Programs from this organization evolve as campers grow, from age 3 through 17.
Avid4 Instructors are all 18 and older with safety and skills training. The leadership team includes Founder David Secunda, a former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry. The organization states a mission that kids build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in activities like paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking, and that it was started from a desire to give kids a love of outdoor activity and to support future caretaking of the planet.
