Miyagi Gymnastics Academy

Miyagi Gymnastics Academy offers Parent & Tot classes with parent participation, Parent & Tot Open Gym, Preschool, Kinder, Recreational gymnastics, Superstars, Tumbling, Adult Fitness, Beginner Gymnastics, Boy’s Gymnastics, Intermediate & Advanced Gymnastics, and Team / Competitive programs. Classes include uneven bars, balance beam, tumbling, trampoline, Tumbl Trak, bars, rings, floor, vault, beams, walks, mounts, dismounts, turns, jumps, rolls, cartwheels, splits, round-offs, front and back handsprings, back tucks, and front tucks.

Programs

• Parent & Tot — walking to 3 years old · Parent participation required. Special parent-child bonding time through sensory stimulation and physical play.
• Parent & Tot Open Gym — 5 and under · $10/child drop-in parent and tot open gym. Walk-ins welcome. Quick Registration required for non-members to participate.
• Preschool — 3 years old · Designed for the development of gymnasts age 3 years old.
• Kinder — 4-5 years old · Designed for the development of gymnasts ages 4-5 years old.
• Recreational — Gymnastics classes include bars, beam, floor, and trampoline.
• Superstars — For young gymnasts with natural flexibility, good body control, and a strong willingness to learn.
• Tumbling — Focuses on floor skills such as cartwheels, round-offs, front and back handsprings, back tucks, front tucks, and more.
• Adult Fitness
• Beginner Gymnastics
• Boy’s Gymnastics — Recreational boy’s gymnastics classes include bars, rings, floor, trampoline, and vault.
• Intermediate & Advanced Gymnastics — Natural progression from beginner kinder and recreational classes. Invite-only.
• Team / Competitive programs — Development (Junior Olympic) Program, Xcel Artistic Gymnastics program, Levels 3 through 10, and Xcel Silver through Platinum.

About the provider

The program says it has 40 years of research and hands-on experience. Its mission is to develop gymnasts of all levels to their fullest potential. It is nationally recognized for its Development (Junior Olympic) Program and Xcel Artistic Gymnastics program.

Being a part of the Miyagi Team is a family commitment. Parent & Tot classes require parent participation. Walk-ins are welcome for Parent & Tot Open Gym. Quick Registration is required for non-members to participate. Invite-only classes are mentioned for Intermediate & Advanced Gymnastics. Team try-outs and a meeting with Mr. Miyagi or a team coach are required for interest in competitive programs.
