Miyagi Gymnastics Academy offers Kinder Open Gym, Parent & Tot Open Play, and Recreational Classes that include Parent & Tot, Preschool, Kinder, and Girls & Boys Rec. The program also offers a Developmental Program, an Xcel Artistic Gymnastics program, and options for parties and events, including birthday parties. Miyagi Gymnastics offers programs for boys and girls ages 6 months and up and teaches fundamental motor skills in a progressive way so children learn at an age-appropriate pace.

The mission of Miyagi Gymnastics Academy is to make gymnastics fun and rewarding for students of all ages and to offer a safe and comfortable environment to allow children to grow and explore their potential. The stated goal is to develop gymnasts of all levels to their fullest potential and to develop self-disciplined, motivated, dedicated, and confident athletes who can apply these traits to everyday life, with team staff committed to building the whole athlete. Miyagi Gymnastics Academy is led by Mr. Miyagi. The academy offers a nationally recognized Development (Junior Olympic) Program and an Xcel Artistic Gymnastics program, with the Development Program governed by USA Gymnastics and consisting of levels 1–10, including compulsory levels 3–5 and optional levels 6–10. In this Development Program, level 3–5 gymnasts can qualify up to State Level competitions, level 6 gymnasts can compete up to the State Championship level, and levels 7–10 offer Regional, Eastern/Western, and National Championships opportunities, with gymnasts able to attempt to qualify for the Elite/Olympic level after completing level 10. The Xcel program allows gymnasts to start competing almost right away by lowering skill requirements for entry levels, is described as ideal for entry-level gymnasts and older gymnasts looking for a fun activity to stay in shape and be involved in gymnastics without consuming all of their time, and includes Miyagi-designed routines at every Xcel level that are used through the Regional Championship level. The program states that being a part of the Miyagi Team is a family commitment and that the organization believes it takes a village, thanking families for allowing them to be a part of their child’s life.
