Neighborhood Homework House

Neighborhood Homework House offers Baby & Me, School Readiness, Elementary, Middle School, and High School programming. Baby & Me includes songs, stories, crafts, and connection. School Readiness focuses on ABCs, numbers, colors, and shapes, and the elementary, middle school, and high school programs include academic support, mentorship, tutoring, social-emotional development, and college, career, and life prep.

Programs

• Baby & Me — 0-36 months and guardians · Wednesdays 10:30 am-11:30 am · Free weekly group with songs, stories, crafts, and connection.
• School Readiness — 3-year-olds · Tuesday and Thursday 9:45 am-11:45 am · Free drop-off program focused on preparing little learners for school through ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes, and more. Kids must be potty trained.
• Elementary — TK-5th grade · Mon. & Wed. 3:30 pm-5:30 pm or Tues. & Thur. 3:30 pm-5:30 pm · Free after-school program focused on academic support, mentorship, and confidence-building.
• Middle School — 6th-8th grade · Mon. & Wed. 3:30 pm-5:30 pm or Tues. & Thur. 3:30 pm-5:30 pm · Free after-school program offering academic support, social-emotional development, and mentorship.
• High School — 9th-12th grade · Tues. & Thur. 3:30 pm-5:30 pm · Supportive space for tutoring, mentorship, and prep for college, career, and life.
• Alumni — Continues relationships built at NHH after graduation and provides mentorship and community.
• Parents — Seminars, computer-based adult literacy in English and Spanish, leadership opportunities, familial support groups, and neighborhood building events.

About the provider

Neighborhood Homework House was founded in 1997. Its mission, together with Azusa families and community partners, is to elevate and support students with access to opportunities, equipping them to thrive. The program collaborates with local churches, schools, organizations, government agencies, and businesses to support Azusa, and community partners, volunteers, educators, and donors power the programs.

Programs are free thanks to donors and partners. Enrollment periods are at the beginning of the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters (August, January, and May). If seeking enrollment outside these months, join the waitlist. Current programs are listed as waitlist for Fall '26 sessions.
