The Gifted & Talented (GATE) Program is part of the Instructional Services department in the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District. The district serves pupils from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and has a growing STEM/STEAM program, which is part of the broader instructional context for the GATE Program.

The NAMM Foundation has recognized the district for the efforts of teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who are making music part of a well-rounded education for every child in the district.
