Tiburon Peninsula Soccer Club Youth Soccer Programs include recreational soccer, competitive soccer, Marin Interleague Soccer Alliance (MISA) league play, tournaments, and year-end Jamborees. The program also offers clinics for field players and clinics for goalkeepers, as well as events such as a Fall Kickoff and end of season Jamborees. Recreational soccer is described as the least intense soccer experience offered by the club and generally does not involve tournaments except for the year-end Jamboree for 3rd grade and older teams.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
The recreational program serves children from kindergarten through high school and provides both recreational and competitive options to accommodate different interests and abilities. Older recreational players from 7th grade through 12th grade participate in the Marin Interleague Soccer Alliance (MISA). Each TPSC MISA team has a professional coach for both of their twice-a-week training sessions, and volunteer parent coaches coach weekend games. Competitive teams register with US Club Soccer, play in the NorCal Premier League, travel to games throughout northern Bay Area counties, and may play in tournaments throughout northern California. Each competitive team has a professional coach hired by the club, and the club may combine players with other Southern Marin clubs to form a team when there are not enough players in a particular age group.
The club’s mission is to provide a fun, safe and developmental youth soccer program in the Tiburon Peninsula area, with a focus on sportsmanship, respect and fair play. The club states that it will be a community organization with which players, parents and the community will be proud to identify, and a positive reflection on the Tiburon Peninsula community. It promotes a model of excellence in sportsmanship and conduct in players, coaches, officials, parents and spectators.
