About
Quaker Center Camp includes a wide range of activities such as group art projects, games, hiking, campfires, campfire songs, a QC camp dance party, and a silent night-hike to the labyrinth. Campers take part in service projects, travel together to social justice organizations in the area, visit a river and a swimming pool, spend a day and sunset at the beach, share a lakeside barbecue, and go on a group hike in a state park. The camp also includes group decision-making and times of collective silence.
• Ages: 10–16 years old
• Schedule: Session 1 runs June 14–20, 2026 for rising 5th to 7th graders, and Session 2 runs June 21–28, 2026 for rising 8th to 10th graders.
• Price: In 2026, the cost is $1,000 per camper, with a $300 Meeting Pass credit available for one camper per Quaker Meeting that holds a Quaker Center Annual Meeting Pass.
Quaker Center Camp is part of a long-standing program at Ben Lomond Quaker Center, which has offered Quaker programs, camps, and events for 76 years. The camp is open to all and welcomes campers who are in harmony with Friends’ values of peace, nonviolence, and equality, and campers do not have to be Quaker to participate. Campers are introduced to Quaker practices such as collective silence and group decision-making.
Quaker Center Camps are a collaboration between Ben Lomond Quaker Center and the Youth Programs of Pacific Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). Campers travel together to service projects at social justice organizations in the area and learn about these organizations while participating in their work. The Pacific Yearly Meeting Youth Programs Fund and the L.I.R. Endowment Camp Scholarship Fund held by Quaker Center are both committed to removing financial obstacles to getting campers to camp.
Quaker Center also offers daily online silent Meeting for Worship, a weekly online Worship Sharing group, and an in-person potluck and Meeting for Worship on the first Wednesday of each month. One testimonial describes Quaker Center Camp as “amazing.”
