About

Berkeley Ballet Theater offers a variety of dance activities including the Pre-Ballet Division, Youth Division, Studio Company, Boys Class, Adult Open Division, Rhythm & Motion, and Dance for PD® programs. These activities are held at the Sally Streets Center for Dance.

The program is led by Artistic Director Robin Dekkers and Artistic Director Emerita Sally Streets. Berkeley Ballet Theater is involved in community collaborations with SF Girls Chorus, Berkeley Symphony, and BAMPFA. A unique feature of the program is the Dance for PD® initiative, which provides free classes to community members affected by Parkinson's disease. Additionally, BBT's performance of Serenade, a Balanchine® Ballet, is presented by arrangement with The George Balanchine Trust.
