City of Berkeley Recreation Programs

City of Berkeley Recreation Programs include summer camps, swimming, afterschool programs, exercise classes, martial arts, and special events. The program also offers a series of Movies In The Park events, including “Wicked For Good,” “Jurassic World Rebirth,” “Smurfs,” “GOAT,” “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” and “The Spongebob Movie: The Search for Squarepants.” Families can register for these activities through an online registration portal or by using a Recreation Program Registration Form that can be submitted in person or by mail. Participants can also make reservations for facilities such as tennis and pickleball courts, Adventure Playground, picnic sites, and recreation centers.

• Price: Refunds or credits, when approved, may include refunding the fee, issuing an account credit, pro-rating the fee, applying fees to another session or program (not for sports field permits), or denying the request; the City deducts 25% of the amount paid or a minimum $10.00 service charge (not to exceed $150.00), and no refunds or credits are granted without 7-day notice before a reservation date except for rainouts or poor air quality; for Tuolumne Camp and Echo Lake Camp, no refunds or credits are provided if cancellation is less than 30 days before arrival, Tuolumne Family Camp reservations include a non-refundable $500 fee per cabin, and other overnight programs such as Echo Lake Youth Camp and 50 and Better Camp have a cancellation fee of 25% of the amount paid (up to $150.00); checks are not issued for refunds under $10.00, and account credits under $10.00 roll into the next fiscal year.
