Jazzschool Young Musicians Program

The Jazzschool Young Musicians Program is part of the Jazzschool community music program, which offers ensembles, classes, and workshops for instrumentalists and vocalists. The program focuses on theory, performance, musicianship, improvisation, composition, history, culture, aesthetics, and the music business, and operates year-round on a quarterly basis along with the Jazzschool Adult Music Program. Students in the program are frequently featured in concert performances that are free to the public.

• Schedule: Office hours in Fall 2025 are Monday–Thursday with afternoon and evening hours, and Saturday–Sunday during the day.

The Jazzschool community music program offers an array of courses, ensembles, performance opportunities, and workshops to build all aspects of musicianship. The Jazzschool has a formidable faculty of renowned musicians and educators. The Jazzschool is a cornerstone of the Bay Area’s music scene. Fall 2024 was the final semester of the Jazzschool's degree programs.
