Nia House Learning Center is a non-profit Montessori school where children work with materials and lessons in Math, Art, Language, Culture, Botony, Zoology, sensorial education, and Practical Life. The program teaches children care of self, care of others, and care of the environment through these areas of study. The Primary Program includes the traditional Montessori three year plan that builds skills in these subjects.

Nia House Learning Center is a Montessori Toddler and Primary Program that has been serving Berkeley since 1974. The Toddler Program serves learners aged 18 months to 3 years, and the stated goal for children in this program is for them to become and remain naturally independent, socially responsible, confident, physically capable, curious, and motivated learners.
