Nia House Learning Center

Nia House Learning Center offers a Toddler Program for children 18 months to 3 years and a Primary Program for children 3 to 6 years old. The Primary Program includes Math, Art, Language, Culture, Botony, Zoology, Sensorial education, and Practical Life.

Programs

• Toddler Program — 18 months to 3 years · Our youngest learners at Nia House are aged 18 months to 3 years. Goal: naturally independent, socially responsible, confident, physically capable, curious and motivated learners.
• Primary Program — 3-6 years old · Includes the traditional Montessori three year plan, building skills in Math, Art, Language, Culture, Botony, Zoology, Sensorial education, and Practical Life.

About the provider

Nia House Learning Center has served Berkeley since 1974. Its mission is to provide education for children ages 18 months to 6 years centered on peace, understanding, acceptance, independence, community, and truth. It also says it brings together children from different socio-economic backgrounds to grow and work in harmony and cooperation, and to work toward Dr. Maria Montessori’s concepts, especially peace through education.
