Berkeley Day Camp offers activities such as exploring shoreline habitats, canoeing, making arts and crafts, and playing at the Adventure Playground. Campers take part in special projects and games including S’mores Oven, Slime, Beads & Lanyards, Capture the Counselor, Summer Halloween, Wooden Harmonicas, Tie-Dye, Camp Cookout, Block Prints, and Rain Sticks.
• Ages: 5–16 years old
• Schedule: Core program 9:00 am–3:30 pm, with optional extended care from 7:30 am–9:00 am and 3:30 pm–6:00 pm
Under the guidance of mentoring staff, teens in the Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program for those entering 9th–10th grades experience what being a summer camp counselor is like. CITs participate in planning and leading a variety of summer activities and learn group facilitation, mediation, leadership, and professional skills while receiving on-the-job training. Scholarships are available for low-income families.
