About

UC Berkeley Business Academy for Youth (B-BAY) offers exploratory college coursework, team-based experiential learning, and business research and planning. The program includes activities that focus on business and entrepreneurship through these structured learning experiences.

The UC Berkeley Business Academy for Youth (B-BAY) has been developing business leaders since 2009. Its programs are part of the Institute for Business & Social Impact. Faculty include two Nobel Prize Laureates in Economics, and Berkeley Haas faculty have earned awards for spearheading research knowledge in game theory, behavior finance, Open Innovation, and knowledge management. B-BAY offers several distinct tracks, including the Middle School Discovery Program, the High School Entrepreneurship Residency, the High School Founder Bootcamp, and the High School Startup Launchpad. These programs are structured to ideate, test, and build ideas for impact and to support middle and high school students at stages ranging from early interest in business to launching a first company. The program reports over 2000 graduates pursuing education and careers in business and tech, a 10% acceptance rate for 2026 high school sessions, and participation from students representing more than 25 countries across its five programs.
