Impact Soccer Club and Ajax East Bay Soccer Club were rivals for 10 years before merging to form East County Revolution Football Club. The club’s mission is to provide a positive and safe environment for the highest quality of soccer training with developmental pathways that elevate a player’s physical, mental, technical, social, and character development. East County represents families and players from Brentwood, Oakley, Discovery Bay, Byron, Knightsen, Bethel Island, Pittsburg, and Antioch, and its name has ties to local high schools with American Revolution themes: Liberty, Freedom, Heritage Patriots, and Independence. The club name also has ties to professional soccer through the New England Revolution, an inaugural team of Major League Soccer, and uses “Football Club (F.C.)” to reflect the moniker used by many U.S. and European professional soccer clubs. The Revolution Vision is to foster the love of soccer through top level training and competition environments as one club where players, families, coaches, referees, and volunteers can participate in all facets of the game and further a lifelong connection to the soccer community.
