It teaches the Shaolin Kempo system of martial arts, blended with techniques from Northern Hung Gar, Southern Hung Gar, Eskrima, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Jujitsu, and Wing Chun. The academy teaches children ages 4 and up, as well as adults, and states that it is the longest lasting martial arts school in Brentwood. The leadership is headed by Sifu Heber (Bear) Carrillo, who has over 30 years of training and teaching experience. The academy notes that it is now open for in-person martial arts and describes itself as family-owned and caring about each student who attends. According to parent and student testimonials, families describe the after school program, vacation camps, and karate school as having great staff, with children being picked up from elementary and middle schools by Twin Tigers owned shuttle vans. Other testimonials describe the environment as friendly and informative, and note that instructors, including Sifu Carrillo, adapt moves and techniques for participants with disabilities.
