American Flips Kids Gymnastics

American Flips Kids Gymnastics offers Pre Girls 1 for ages 5-6, with warmup, stretching, trampoline jumps, rolling backwards and forwards, hand support, cartwheels, and handstands. It also offers Girls 1 classes with gymnastics basics, and boys classes in gymnastics and tumbling that include floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, horizontal bar, and trampoline skills.

Programs

• Pre Girls 1 — 5-6 · One hour sessions, 4 sessions per month · $95 per month · Introduces kids ages 5-6 to movement and exercise; includes warmup, stretching, trampoline jumps, rolling backwards and forwards, hand support, cartwheels, and handstands.
• Girls 1 — 6 years and up upon placement · 60 min. sessions, 4 sessions per month · $100 per month · Teaches the basics of gymnastics while improving strength, coordination, flexibility, balance, agility, confidence, and social skills.
• Girls 2 — 6 & up upon placement · 60 min. sessions, 4 sessions per month · $105 per month · Invitational only, for girls ages 6 and up who show exceptional abilities, strength and focus in Girls 1 or upon placement test.
• Girls 3 — 6 & up upon placement · 60 min. sessions, 4 sessions per month · $110 per month · Invitational only, for girls ages 6 and up who show exceptional abilities, strength and focus in Girls 1 or upon placement test.
• Girls 4 — 6 & up upon placement · 60 min. sessions, 4 sessions per month · $120 per month · Invitational only, for girls ages 6 and up who show exceptional abilities, strength and focus in Girls 1 or upon placement test.
• Boys Gymnastics — 6 years & up · 60 min. sessions, 4 sessions per month · $100 per month · Beginner-intermediate level gymnastics classes for boys ages 6 & up focusing on all 6 Men's Olympics events.
• Boys Tumbling — 6 years & up · 60 min. sessions, 4 sessions per month · $100 per month · Recreational tumbling for boys; benefits include increased physical activity and improvement in strength, flexibility, and coordination.
• Tumbling 1 — 6-12 years old · 60 min. sessions, 4 sessions per month · $100 per month · Back tucks and twists; improves cheerleading, dance, and gymnastics skills.
• Tumbling 2 — 7 & up · 60 min. sessions, 4 sessions per month · $105 per month · Advanced tumbling skills necessary for gymnastics, cheer and dance.
• Tumbling 3 — 7 & up · 60 min. sessions, 4 sessions per month · $110 per month · Advanced tumbling skills necessary for gymnastics, cheer and dance.
• Tumbling 4 — 7 & up · 60 min. sessions, 4 sessions per month · $120 per month · Advanced tumbling skills necessary for gymnastics, cheer and dance.
• USAG Competitive Team — ages 6 and up, by invitation only · Training hours and time vary by level and are relative to the gymnasts abilities · Level 2-5; works competitions throughout the year.

• General schedule: Students will be evaluated every 3 months by the head coach. Students will be moved up to the next level upon completion of the course or sooner if they meet the skill level during evaluations. Annual showcase will be held once a year during fall.

About the provider

Coach Eranda Gunasekara, also known as Coach E, leads the program. He has over 20 years of elite-level coaching experience and has credentials as a former Junior Olympian, world-class gymnast, National Team Captain of Sri Lanka, and former National Team member from 1997 to 2007. He represented Sri Lanka at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championship in Ghent, Belgium in 2001, the World Championship in Anaheim, USA in 2003, the World Youth Olympics in Moscow, Russia in 1998, and the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia in 2006.

Students are evaluated every 3 months. Advancement to the next level may occur upon completion of the course or sooner if skill level is met during evaluations. Annual showcase is held once a year during fall. Private, semi private, and group private lessons are available, including private sessions for special needs. Group privates are for 8+ students per group. USAG Competitive Team is by invitation only.
