It is a non-profit, part-time preschool program that has been serving the community for more than 65 years. The preschool is governed by the church, and there is no religious instruction at the preschool. The program’s mission statement is that it supports the child’s total development by providing an environment where curiosity and imagination are celebrated. The program’s philosophy states that it is through play that a child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills are strengthened, and it holds that all areas of a child’s developmental growth are of equal importance. Staff facilitate and support a child’s growth through meaningful opportunities and by being positive and nurturing role models, with a balance of appropriate independence and adult support. The church offers enrichment to students through Burbank First Academy, including dance, soccer, art, and more.
