Guitar Ninjas offers guitar lessons through a complete music program that includes private lessons and an online course. The program blends music, mindset, and motivation, using iconic rock songs to teach technique, theory, mechanics, and pro-level thinking tactics. Students follow 8 levels and can earn award picks and chains to mark each new level of becoming a Guitar Ninja.

Guitar Ninjas provides personal instruction plans for adults and for kids starting as early as 4 years old, with options for lessons in studio, online, or a combination of both. Each student receives full access to an 8-level online course that works hand-in-hand with private sessions, plus access to a members-only Practice Portal with over 300 videos of tricks, tips, exercises, and skills. Students who achieve Black Level earn a spot in the GN Master Shredder® program, and free makeup lessons are available as long as the lesson is canceled before 9 am on the lesson day.
Guitar Ninjas began 10 years ago with one student in one room of a small house in Burbank, CA. The program was started by Jason Land, Founder and Owner, with a vision for how to teach guitar that incorporates learning fundamental principles while experiencing the joy of making music.
Community involvement at Guitar Ninjas has included blues legend Joe Bonamassa spending time with kids at GN/Burbank, Nikki Sixx interviewing Guitar Ninjas student Sydney Ellen on the Sixx Sense show, funkmaster Nomad working with students at the annual guitar lesson conference, and Marty Schwartz jamming with adult students at GN/Orange.
Parent and student feedback includes comments such as a student who has taken lessons for 4 years and “absolutely LOVE IT,” and another adult student who started guitar at 49 and reports reaching a level of playing he “never thought was possible.” Several parents describe their children looking forward to weekly lessons and note that their kids “LOVE it here” and “are learning songs like crazy,” with online videos that support what they learn in lessons.
