About
Avid4 Adventure offers one-week Explorer summer camps that include hiking, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, biking, mountain biking, rock climbing, paddling, yoga, art, and music. Every day is structured around outdoor adventure activities and is thoughtfully balanced with creative pursuits like yoga, art, and music. Campers have access to professional-caliber, top-of-the-line gear that is specifically sized for kids, and Avid4 Adventure transports campers to authentic local recreation areas for each adventure sport.

Avid4 Adventure maintains a camper-to-staff ratio of 5:1 and hires instructors who are all 18 and older with serious safety and skills training. The leadership team includes founder David Secunda, a former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry. The organization holds accreditation from the American Camp Association, is a Certified B Corp, and has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps. Avid4 Adventure operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service and offers an Avid4 Adventure Guarantee that includes an authentic outdoor adventure, well-trained professional staff, and increased confidence, with the next camp free if these promises are not met.
Families can access a multi-session/sibling discount of $25 off per session after the first, a referral program that gives friends $50 off their first camp and provides a $50 coupon for a future 2026 camp when they enroll, and a $65 service discount for qualifying professions. Testimonials from parents in 2023 describe campers learning to ride bikes without training wheels, being eager to share what they learned each day, and talking about camp long after it ended.
