About
Learning Links blends a nurturing early learning program with expertise in child development. Classrooms use the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum for ages 0 to 5, which is described as a trusted, research-based program that supports each child’s individual development and is loved by educators and parents. Classrooms are supported by Developmental Specialists, who are trained educators working side-by-side with teachers.
• Ages: 0–5 years old
• Schedule: Year-round enrollment with flexible options including full-time, part-time, half-day, drop-in, and extended care
Learning Links opened in 2006 and is a program of AbilityPath, a Bay Area nonprofit that has supported children and adults to achieve their full potential for more than a century. The program offers open houses where families can see classrooms and outdoor spaces, meet teachers, and learn about the play-based learning environment, as well as 30-minute tours to explore the center, visit a classroom, and meet teachers. Infant-Toddler program openings are available in Burlingame and Palo Alto.
The mission of Learning Links states that the team of educators and developmental specialists personally guide each child’s journey, meet children where they are, support their growth, and partner with families so every child can build skills and confidence. Classrooms are supported by Developmental Specialists — trained educators who work side-by-side with teachers.
Parents describe Learning Links as having clean and organized facilities and sanitary, clean centers. Parent testimonials mention teachers who are warm, friendly, attentive, and caring, and note that children enjoy their classrooms and teachers. Several parents specifically mention Teacher Beni, Teacher Maria, and Teacher Meslei, and describe positive experiences in the Farm classroom, including support with potty learning and attention to each child’s academic level. Parents also report noticing changes in their children’s development, behavior, confidence with transitions, and speech, and say their children feel safe, supported, and happy at Learning Links.
