Calabasas Rams offers a youth tackle football program and a free June Camp. The program uses staged contact and tackling drills, starting with bag work and non-contact fundamental instruction, and it uses the Rocky Seto system with a rugby-style tackling approach that keeps the helmet out of the tackle.

About the provider
Calabasas Rams was founded by Cary Harris in 2018. The program says it prioritizes the long-term physical, mental, and social development and well-being of its players, with an emphasis on safety, character development, and sportsmanship. Cary Harris is a Los Angeles native, former NFL player, USC alum, and Notre Dame High School alum who was drafted by the Buffalo Bills and played for the Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals, and New York Giants. He also coached in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders, and Seattle Seahawks.
They introduce contact and tackling in stages through carefully designed drills in highly controlled settings starting with a foundation of bag work and non-contact fundamental instruction. They use the Rocky Seto system, emphasizing a rugby style of tackling that gets the helmet out of the tackle and are trained in the latest concussion protocols.
