About

School Tutoring provides one-on-one or small group support to students in their regular classroom. Volunteer tutors work with students in subjects such as reading, STEM, and art. Volunteers assist in the same classroom on an ongoing basis, which allows them to work with the same students and teacher over time.

• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Volunteer tutors assist in the same classroom for at least one hour per week.

UpValley Family Centers provides guidance, support and resources in the community, in the home and for the individual, so that everyone can achieve a better life. Training and ongoing support from a dedicated UpValley Family Centers staff member are provided throughout the school year. Many of UpValley Family Centers' programs are made possible by volunteers from the community, who help deliver services, events, and programs alongside community members and partner organizations. The organization’s history includes the creation of the Calistoga Family Center in 1999, the founding of the St. Helena Family Center in 2005, and the official combination into UpValley Family Centers of Napa County in February 2014.
