The Lou Grant Parent-Child Workshop is a non-profit, cooperative early childhood program for children ages 2 to 5. Children, parents, and teachers work and play together, and the program includes a rich and varied play environment with open-ended materials, creative ideas, play, and process.
Programs
- Morning Program — 8:45am - 11:55am · $500 per month
- Extended Program — 11:55am - 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday · $400 per month · Available to children enrolled in the morning program, as space is available. Includes plenty of play and creative activities, as well as designated lunch, rest, and snack times.

About the provider
The program offers a Morning Program from 8:45am to 11:55am for $500 per month. It also offers an Extended Program from 11:55am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday, for $400 per month; this program is available to children enrolled in the morning program, as space is available, and includes lunch, rest, and snack times. The program is licensed by the state of California, license #421710912, and is affiliated with and supported in part by the Santa Barbara City College School of Extended Learning.
Structured and formal learning, forced too early, does not prepare children for a rapidly changing world or provide a solid conceptual foundation for future academic experiences. Tuition is a yearly fee, divided into ten equal monthly payments. First and last month’s tuition fees are due at enrollment. No adjustment is made due to absences or short school months. Payment is due on the first day of the month; payments received after the fifth day are considered late and a $25.00 late fee will be levied.
