Castro Valley Performing Arts offers classes in Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap, Tumbling, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Turns and Leaps, Stretch and Conditioning, Zumba, Latin Jazz, Cheerleading, and Musical Theater, along with Infant/Toddler and Adult Introduction to Dance options. The program also offers focused ballet levels such as Toddler Ballet, Child Ballet I and IB, Junior/Teen Ballet I–IV, Teen/Senior Ballet V, Teen Ballet III–IV and Pointe, Junior Company Intermediate Ballet, Adult Ballet (including Silver Swans age 45+), and Fundamental Ballet. Hip hop options include Child Hip-Hop I/II, Junior/Teen Hip-Hop I/II, Teen Hip-Hop II, Child/Junior Hip-Hop II/III, Junior Hip-Hop III, Teen/Senior Hip-Hop Large Group, Junior/Teen Hip-Hop Large Group, Teen/Senior Hip-Hop Foundations, and Advanced Hip-Hop Crew, plus themed summer dance camps such as K-pop Warrior, Ohana, Enchanted Kingdom, and We’ve Got Spirit! Yes, We Do!! Cheerleading.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Multiple in-person class options throughout the week, including Monday through Thursday afternoons and evenings and Saturday mornings and early afternoons, with examples such as Monday ballet classes from 4:15 pm–8:25 pm, Tuesday ballet and hip hop starting at 3:30 pm, Wednesday ballet and hip hop from late morning and evening, Thursday ballet and hip hop in late morning and evening, and Saturday ballet from 9:00 am–1:55 pm

Castro Valley Performing Arts states that it is a family-oriented school that provides quality dance training in a positive, nurturing and enthusiastic environment and that it aims to develop a love for the arts. The mission notes that through classes, performances and unique experiences, dancers learn teamwork, responsibility, respect and time management, and that the teaching philosophy stresses politeness, consideration and respect towards others. The program states that it is always age appropriate with curriculum, costuming and music choices, and that it dedicates itself to providing a rewarding dance experience for both new and experienced dancers, with the belief that there is a dancer in everyone. Studios are equipped with professional grade air filtration systems and contactless bathroom fixtures, and all classes are offered in person, with group, private and semi-private classes and boys’ classes available for children and adults from beginners to advanced levels. CVPA students participate in community shows and charity events.
