First Tee – Central Valley offers junior golf programs that include a four-day golf camp with activities such as Full Swing practice, Short Game practice, Strategy & Rules on the course, and an on-course Match Day. The camp also includes a Mini-Tournament where participants put their skills to the test. All registered participants are required to have their own golf clubs and bag, and families who need clubs are asked to reach out before the first day of class.

First Tee – Central Valley states that it is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. Its mission is to positively impact young people in the Central Valley area by providing educational programs that build positive character development and deliver life skills through the game of golf. The organization notes that its golf-based programs help kids and teens build confidence, resilience, and leadership, and that its coaches create safe, fun, and encouraging spaces for every participant to grow. It invites kids ages 5–17 to join experiences that engage them with Key Commitments such as Pursuing Goals, Growing through Challenge, Collaborating with Others, Building Positive Self-Identity, and Using Good Judgement while they work on golf fundamentals and build a golf skill foundation as they advance. First Tee – Central Valley reports that it is now serving families across Stanislaus, Merced, Mariposa, and Tuolumne counties.
The leadership team includes Stephanie Foster as Executive Director, Kayla Grey as Program Director, and Sarah Ramsdell as Marketing Coordinator. The program describes its approach as seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum and states that it is building “Game Changers” through the game of golf.
