America’s Best Martial Arts offers training in Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Karate, the Chuck Norris System, American Tang Soo Do, Hapkido, Shotokan, Jiu Jitsu, Kali, Silat, and Dog Brothers Martial Arts. The program includes Krav Maga Juniors for ages 6–12 and Krav Maga for adults 13 and older. Instruction focuses on applicable martial arts techniques and real self-defense with a competitive edge in a family-oriented, judgment-free environment that emphasizes courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and character.

America’s Best Martial Arts was established by Mark Cox in October 1990, and over the past 25 years the school has built a legacy in the community connected to its family environment. The program invites families from Northridge, West Hills, Moor Park, and other nearby communities to join classes in Simi Valley or Chatsworth. The school states that students consistently receive high ranks in various disciplines and some have become instructors.

Founder and instructor Mark Cox has a 40-year history of owning and operating martial arts schools and has produced over 700 Black Belts. He holds Black Belts in Tang Soo Do, Krav Maga, and Hapkido, and a Brown Belt under Sergio Machado with Team 3 Competition Team, and he is also a best-selling author and motivational speaker. Instructor Nathan Carlen holds rank in American Tang Soo Do, Krav Maga, Shotokan, BJJ, Kali, and Silat, and has been a teacher and coach in the Los Angeles Community College District since 2004. Instructor Michael Cox holds a 6th-degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, a Purple Belt in Jiu-Jitsu, and a Black Belt in Krav Maga. Instructor Ashley Sage is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, has a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Sergio Machado, holds a “Brown Tag” Instructor rank in Dog Brothers Martial Arts under Marc “Crafty Dog” Denny, and is a 1st Degree Black Belt in Krav Maga and a Level 4 Instructor in the American Krav Maga Federation. Instructor Anica Fontaine is a 4th Dan Black Belt under Grand Master Cox, and instructor Dicky Billings is also part of the leadership team.

America’s Best Martial Arts states that they are champions in Krav Maga, the Chuck Norris System, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The program describes itself as teaching real self-defense with a competitive edge in a family-oriented environment and as a judgment-free zone.
