Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley is a private nonprofit founded in 1995 and is governed by a local volunteer board. It serves over 1,600 youth at 11 sites in Butte and Glenn Counties and employs over 100 youth development professionals, supported by more than 500 community volunteers. The organization’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as responsible, productive and caring citizens, and its stated vision is to provide a world-class Club Experience that keeps members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, good character and citizenship, and a healthy lifestyle.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley is audited and endorsed by the Grand Jury as a proven program, is a Platinum participant through GuideStar/Candid, and is compliant with the Office of State Assembly. It is also a training site for Boys & Girls Clubs and other after school programs and is described as a model program for youth development best practices. The organization notes that the true cost per member is around $2,500 annually and that donors and funders help make the program accessible to families.
