The program states that it is more than a gym and describes itself as a community dedicated to helping participants become their best selves. It offers elite martial arts training for families in a safe, fun environment and serves Chino Hills, Chino and the surrounding area.

Universal Martial Arts Centers describes its approach as including programs for all ages, a friendly community atmosphere, and a supportive family of martial artists who encourage and motivate each other every day. The program notes that it offers multiple class times for adults and youth, experienced instructors dedicated to helping participants improve at their own pace, and practical self-defense techniques that work in real-world situations through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and boxing training. It also states that participants can build strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance while having fun and learning new skills, and that it focuses on building confidence, discipline, and mental toughness that carries over into all aspects of life.
