Hoop Haven Academy offers skilled basketball training through small group sessions that are limited to 8 participants. The program includes a Novice Class, Advanced Class, Elite Grind Camp, and a Summer Clinic 2026, along with basketball mentorship and volunteer basketball coaching.

Hoop Haven Academy organizes memberships based on three different skill levels: Novice, Advanced, and Elite. Novice classes are available for 1st–3rd Grade and for 4th Grade and up. Advanced classes are available for 4th–6th Grade, 7th–8th Grade, and 9th–12th Grade, and Elite-level training is available for 9th–12th Grade. Hoop Haven provides skilled basketball training through group sessions for grades 1–12, and the first class is free if scheduled by calling. The program is a family-owned business and is located in a mall with various retail and food venues for parents and guardians during training sessions, and it states that it provides a beautiful, positive, safe atmosphere. The Summer Clinic 2026 is a collaboration with Kingdom Performance, and Coach Keith Spencer will team up with Coach Craig Jackson in the 1st Annual Elite Grind Camp on June 27th–28th.
Hoop Haven Academy’s mission is to provide reliable mentorship to today’s youth through skilled basketball training. The Hoop Haven Academy Facility is a 2,500-square-foot basketball training facility located at the Otay Ranch Town Center Mall. Craig Jackson leads as a basketball coach in San Diego. He is a former ABA professional basketball player who finished his collegiate basketball in 2009 at SDCC in El Cajon, California, and he is an alumnus of Eastlake High School, Class of 2004, born April 26, 1986, in Indianapolis, Indiana. His high school record includes 2002–2004 First Team All Mesa League Honors, 2004 Mesa League MVP, 2004 Mesa League All-Star Game MVP, 2004 CIF All County Selection, and the 2004 Eastlake High School record for most points in a game with 34 points vs. Mount Carmel in the playoffs. His college experience includes Saddleback College in 2005 with a State Playoffs Final Four appearance, Cuyamaca College in 2006–2007 with a State Playoffs first-round appearance, and SDCC in 2008–2009, where he recorded the most points scored in a single game in the GSAC Conference with 35 points vs. Westmont College. His professional experience includes playing ABA pro basketball for the San Diego Surf from 2013–2015 under the name “2k Jackson.”
Craig Jackson’s basketball training and mentorship experience includes the 2009 Copley YMCA Community Basketball Mentorship Program, skilled basketball training for community youth from 2014 to the present, volunteer basketball coaching for the Chula Vista Youth Sports Program from 2017 to 2021, and volunteer basketball coaching at Veterans Elementary in Chula Vista from 2017 to 2019. Hoop Haven’s stated goal is to connect the community, and Craig began volunteer work as a coach and mentor around the community through these programs.
