About
Summer Camp – Epic Week on Wheels includes an action-packed week of mountain biking with trail rides, games, and fun off-bike activities based on the camp location. Riders take part in ranger meet and greets, ice cream rides, water balloon activities, domesticated animal interactions, and beach visits. The program uses fun and interactive drills to teach fundamental bike handling skills such as trail safety, proper bike and body positioning, braking, gear shifting, turning, cornering, climbing, and descending, along with specific techniques like wheel lifts, pressure control, and airborne mechanics.
• Ages: 7–18 years old
• Schedule: Monday-to-Friday sessions, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Price: $549.00 per rider; Bike Rental $79
The program has been building confidence on bikes since 2018 and follows a progressive curriculum focused on bike handling, trail awareness, and confidence. Small group sizes are used so riders receive personalized attention and skill progression. Safety basics such as the ABC (Air, Brakes, Chain) check and core mountain biking essentials are included, and instruction covers control techniques like using foot and body wedges for bike control. Riders are asked to bring a recently serviced mountain bike with a 20″ or larger wheel size and working gears (or use a rental bike), a properly fitted helmet, closed-toe sneakers, athletic clothing suitable for biking, a packed lunch, light snacks, a labeled water bottle, weather-appropriate layers, a small backpack, sunscreen, and a hat. The camp features passionate, certified coaches, 100% safety-certified coaches, first-aid certified staff, experienced instructors trained in youth development, and comprehensive insurance coverage. The program welcomes all skill levels and backgrounds and offers financial aid and scholarships to provide access to more families, with an emphasis on kids making friends, building confidence, and developing a love for cycling that lasts.
