IBIS Children's Center

IBIS Children's Center offers infants (6 weeks to 18 months) a warm, safe, and responsive environment with gentle routines, language exposure, sensory exploration, and gross motor milestones. It also offers infants and toddlers from 6 weeks to 3 years, and a preschool program for children ages 3 to 5 years with activities that encourage children to be active, socialize with peers, enhance motor and cognitive skills, and be creative.

About the provider

IBIS Children's Center is led by Shanice Swan, Program Director, and Allyson Swan, Assistant Director. The program states that its mission is to provide high quality service that is innovative, balanced, and inclusive, and that it is designed to stimulate social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in all children. Its listed credentials and permits include a Master's Degree in Child Development, a Child Development Program Director Permit, Adult and Infant First Aid/CPR, a Food Handler's Permit, a Mandated Reporter, and a CACFP Child and Adult Meal Pattern Certificate.

The program observes and tracks developmental progress in all five domains to plan activities for each individual toddler. Teachers work with parents to develop routines and schedules for feeding and sleep schedules.
