MT@ISB Musical Theater Program

MT@ISB Musical Theater Program includes classes such as Broadway Tap, Broadway Tap Level 1/2, Broadway Tap/Jazz, Jazz Level 1, Mini Musical Theater, Junior Musical Theater, Triple Threat 1 Training, Triple Threat 2 Training, and Triple Threat Troupe. Students in these classes work on tap rhythms, jazz choreography, flexibility, speed, styling, musicality, footwork, simple vocal exercises, warm up and project, choreography numbers, improv with movement, dialogue, and vocals, two part harmonies, simple monologues, theatrical literacy, etiquette, performance, MT dance, ballet classes, contemporary classes, and 3 to 5 part harmonies. Previous MT@ISB performances include Matilda, Annie, Shrek Jr, Elf Jr, Frozen Jr, and Lion King Jr, and MT@ISB is announcing Seussical Jr. as the Fall 2025 Musical Theater Production, with Triple Threat Troupe doing Seussical Jr. and MT@ISB Presents Newsies Jr.

• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Class options Monday–Friday during studio hours of 4:00pm–7:00pm and Saturday 9:30am–12:00pm, including specific weekly class times such as Mini Musical Theater on Mondays, Junior Musical Theater and Triple Threat levels on Tuesdays, Broadway Tap and Broadway Tap/Jazz on Wednesdays, and Jazz Level 1 on Fridays during the 2025–2026 school year beginning July 14, 2025

Mini Musical Theater is an introductory course intended to teach the basics of theatre through creative play using curriculum based on K–3rd grade standards. Junior Musical Theater students must be able to read. Triple Threat 1 Training is for beginning to intermediate levels of musical theater, Triple Threat 2 Training is for intermediate to advanced levels of musical theater, and Triple Threat Troupe is for advanced levels of musical theater and is the MT@ISB touring group, where they will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in performances throughout the community.

Inspire School of Ballet states that its mission is to inspire students to be all they can be both on and off stage and to provide a positive environment where children learn, through the art of dance, the value of discipline, hard work, creativity and artistry. Inspire School of Ballet offers classes for students ages 18 months through adult and uniquely offers small class sizes to ensure personal attention for each of the students, and the school puts on two full-length ballets per year with the students filling both leading and supporting roles. ISB Academy program students have been accepted into trainee and intensive programs including Joffrey Ballet, ABT, and Alvin Ailey.

Inspire School of Ballet is a proud partner with Girls Scouts of America and City of Chula Vista: Choose Chula App. The Triple Threat Troupe is the MT@ISB touring group, where they will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in performances throughout the community. One parent testimonial describes Ms. Felicia as “an excellent teacher with lots of charisma, love and patience for the kids” and thanks her “for such a wonderful dance experience” for their daughter.
