Huntington Learning Center was founded in 1977 as a family-owned company by Eileen Huntington and Dr. Raymond Huntington, and the current President and CEO is Anne Huntington Sharma. The organization’s mission statement is: “Our mission is to give every student the best education possible.” Huntington Learning Center is accredited by the Middle States Association, and Eileen and Ray Huntington received the Education Industry Association’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Award for their “courage, perseverance, and determination to improve educational opportunities for children.”

The program is involved in school and community partnerships, including specialized school programs and government-funded high-dosage tutoring that support schools and juvenile justice systems, as well as Public Private Partnerships that provide high-dosage tutoring through state scholarship grants in partnership with schools. Parent testimonials describe tutors who provide positive reinforcement and specific tips for raising ACT scores, tutors who build rapport and show patience while understanding a student’s needs and learning style, and a “wide variety” of services that “hone in on weak areas” and are “easy to get to.”
