Claremont Fastpitch Girls Softball offers fielding clinics, pitching clinics, batting clinics, and a catching clinic, along with team picture day and Opening Day activities. The program also holds 8u and 10u Select Team Tryouts as an additional competitive option alongside the regular recreation season. Free fielding, pitching, batting, and catching clinics are available with advance registration, with the catching clinic specifically for registered Claremont Fastpitch players.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Each playing season runs from September 1 through August 31, with spring registration from November to early January, assessments the week after registration closes, team drafts the following week, practices starting at the end of January, Opening Day generally the Saturday after President's Day, games most Saturdays with 1–3 weekday games per month, and last games typically the first weekend in May.
Claremont Fastpitch Girls Softball is a non-profit organization with five divisions based on player age: 6u, 8u, 10u, 12u, and 14u, and a player’s age division is based on their age as of September 1 of the playing year. Players in the 6u division do not need to assess. The organization plays under USA Softball rules and regulations.
The leadership team includes Jessica Edwards (President), Tony Spinrad (Vice President / Umpire in Charge), Kristin Hobbs (Secretary), Christina Lunceford (Treasurer), Jocelyn Rodriguez (Team Parent Coordinator), Melissa Gaw (Uniforms and Apparel and Social Media), Heather MacPherson (Registration / Player Agent), Kim Watkins (Ways and Means / Fundraising), Bobby Antillon (Sports Committee), Tim Hobbs (6U/8U Commissioner), Andrew Domer (10U Commissioner), Mike Reilly (12U/14U Commissioner), Miguel Ojeda (Equipment Manager), Javier Guerrero (Field Manager), and Justin Gaw (Special Projects).
