The Los Angeles Suzuki Institute is a summer event for Suzuki students, teachers, and parents to come together as a community to enrich their life through music. It is a family oriented Suzuki music summer program for students, parents, and teachers of all ages and levels, with programs for students and teachers who play violin, viola, and cello. The Twinkler Program is designed for students with no experience or those studying Pre-Twinkle or Twinkle at their home studio and is open to all ages, with most students 8 and under. PREP students prepare intermediate students to matriculate into the Young Artist Program by adding more advanced, age-appropriate courses such as Chamber Music and advanced electives, and the Young Artist Program is for advanced students ages 13 and up. Participants have the option to register for dormitory accommodations and meal plans during the week of the institute, and commuters are highly recommended to get a Lunch Only plan to socialize with other attendees. Parents gain inspiration observing their children receive instruction from expert teachers and develop community spending time with fellow parents, and parent lectures are offered at no extra cost. Teachers take Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA) approved teacher training courses from world class Teacher Trainers. The Los Angeles Suzuki Institute is directed by Kelly Christ.
