The organization serves over 700 children a day at 15 early education centers located throughout Los Angeles County. Its mission states that it is committed to working with families and the community so that children in its care receive a high quality early learning experience.

California Children's Academy helps low income working families become financially independent by providing free and affordable early education, with family eligibility for subsidized services determined by income, family size, age of child, and need for service. The program offers parent participation, education, resources, and referrals, along with family support services such as access to resources, parent and community education, and opportunities for parent participation.
