Clayton Children's Center

Clayton Children's Center offers education games and activities, creative activities, and activity rooms that include music programs, dance class, and foreign languages. The program includes music and movement activities for all, outdoor activities in outdoor play yards, and bus service. The program includes child safety practices, special education, and learning and fun in outdoor play yards and three fun filled playgrounds.

• Schedule: Full-time program Monday–Friday 7:30 am–5:00 pm for 2-year, 3-year, and 4-year-old classes, with additional half-day and after-school options

Clayton Children's Center offers a full-time program Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm for 2-year, 3-year, and 4-year-old classes, and a half-day TK/4's class from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. The schedule includes T/Thu classes for two-year-olds, M/W/F classes for three-year-olds, and Monday–Friday classes for four-year-olds. The program also offers an after school program for AM Kindergarten through 2nd grade, is open year round including school holidays and minimum days, and is closed the week of Christmas.

Clayton Children's Center has been part of the Clayton community since 1980 and has been providing loving care and quality education for nearly forty years. The program describes a unique and stimulating curriculum that encourages creativity, social development, and skill building and has been serving the community for over 40 years. The school is licensed by the state of California.

The staff at Clayton Children's Center are described as dedicated and caring, are CPR/First Aid trained, ECE educated and experienced, and have passed a criminal background check. The leadership team includes Director Sandy McCracken, Assistant Director Kara Fredrickson, Half Day Two's Teacher Alexa Soares, Afterschool Kindergarten Teacher Maddie Sanna, Half Day Four's Teacher Taylor Pousard, Half Day Three's Teacher Shelby Newton, Full Day Two's Teacher Deryl Patterson, and staff members Megan Reindl and Katie Kendall. Teachers offer secure pick up procedures and do a name to face attendance check of every student, and the school conducts monthly fire and earthquake drills.

For enrollment, once admission is confirmed for the academic year, families complete paperwork that includes a background check process form, personal rights, consent, medical exam, parents rights, health history, and enrollment forms.
