Summer Stage is a two-week camp that focuses on musical theater training and preparation for the presentation of excerpts from Disney and Broadway shows. Campers take part in specific activities such as audition techniques, preparing a monologue, stage presence, theatre basics, dance movement, singing, dancing, and acting. The camp culminates with a final musical performance, and tickets for the Showcase Performance are available for purchase starting the first day of Summer Stage.

• Ages: 6–16 years old
• Schedule: Two-week camp; Camp Dates: July 6–10 and July 13–17, with a Showcase Performance on July 17 (time TBA)
• Price: 2026 Camp Tuition: $500 1-child 2-week camp; $475 multiple children (same household) 2-week camp; after TBA late registration fee $25.

Summer Stage is offered by Clayton Theatre Company (CTC), which was founded in 2012. Through the Summer Stage program, CTC states that it strives to instill a love of theatre in youth and that children will also learn a sense of teamwork and self-confidence. CTC describes itself as an all-inclusive and diverse production company with non-traditional and color-blind casting and produces a wide variety of plays and musicals. CTC’s mission is to entertain, educate, and enrich the community, and it is a community-based, non-profit organization that describes itself as a place to entertain, educate, and elevate the community, stating that local theater will unite people in an enjoyable experience while introducing new people to the downtown area, its businesses, and restaurants.

The Summer Stage leadership team includes Director/Music Director and Managing Director Roxanne Pardi and Assistant Director/Choreographer and Artistic Director La Tonya Watts, along with Board of Directors members Patti Berrow (President), Cara Bent (Treasurer), and Lupe Szymanski (Publicity). Roxanne received her BA degree in Vocal Music and a K-12 Lifetime Teaching Credential from San José State University. CTC notes that it has received numerous Shellie Awards for Best Director, Best Actress, Best Choreographer, Best Lighting, and Special Contributions to the Performing Arts. Roxanne Pardi is listed as a recipient of the 2018 Women of Distinction Award from the Soroptimist International organization and the 2025 Unsung Hero Award for the City of Clayton. La Tonya Watts is listed as a recipient of the 2018 Women of Distinction Award from the Soroptimist International Organization, was inducted into the Pittsburg California Entertainment and Arts Hall of Fame in 2022, and for the Broadway World San Francisco 2022 Regional Awards she won Best Director of a Play (Fences) and Best Play (Fences).
