About
Summer Day Camp includes activities such as arts & crafts, indoor and outdoor games, music, cooking projects, movies, science experiments, quiet board games, coloring, and extra time outside playing on the play structure. Campers take part in themed projects like crafts inspired by the world of Pixar, animal crafts and animal snacks, crafts inspired by California and New York, world crafts, space themed crafts, tie dye, water games, spirit week dress up, challenges, and field day. The program also offers events and trips such as a Wreck-it-Ralph party, an Annual Fourth of July Carnival, an Annual Halloween Parade, a bowling trip, a visit to Color Me Mine, a visit to Yerba Buena Ice Skating Center, Adventure Field Trips across the Bay Area, a late night at the Colma Community Center with extra hours of camp, movie, and play, and a space-tacular presentation by Astro Everywhere.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Nine week-long sessions from June 8 to August 7, 2026, with general camp days typically running 10am–4pm and extended care options before and after camp
• Price: General Care weekly resident/non-resident fees range from $15–$25 resident and $90–$150 non-resident, with additional fees for Adventure Camp Trips, daily drop-in, and extended care
On-site, trained and dedicated staff lead developmentally oriented games and activities. The Town of Colma Recreation Services Department operates the camp. Summer 2026 registration is full with a waitlist option. Project Read visits weekly, rotating between Nutrition lessons, Science lessons, and the Learning Wheels bus. Campers are asked to bring a sweatshirt, a refillable water bottle, and wear closed-toed shoes, with all personal items clearly labeled, and to bring disposable paper bag lunches on field trip days; any drop-off before 10:00am or pick-up after 4:00pm is subject to the full extended care fee.
