10th Planet Daly City

10th Planet Daly City offers martial arts training that includes 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Shaolin Kenpo, Capoeira, and MMA. The program also connects to The MATS, which offers additional activities such as Yoga, self-defense for adults and youth, Meditation, Reiki, labyrinth walks, spiritual celebrations, retreats, and sound healing.

10th Planet Daly City is a martial arts program under The MATS. Martial Artist Gino Francisco and Meditation Instructor Joseph Coffin started The MATS to teach and serve their community, and they launched the 10th Planet Daly City Jiu Jitsu Program with the approval of Gino’s jiu jitsu instructor, Eddie Bravo. On October 1, 2015, Gino and Joe opened the first location for The MATS in a small garage in Pacifica, California, and in 2018 The MATS partnered with Shaolin Kenpo Daly City and moved into the historic Ralph Castro Kenpo Karate Studio.

The MATS began as a conversation between Gino and Joe during the summer of 2014 at Zion National Park in Utah, and they grew by teaching local clients and communities with a shared goal to strengthen individuals through martial arts and meditation while helping them achieve personal goals both on the mat and in life. The MATS states that it is committed to serving the Bay Area community and continues to empower clients both on and off the mat. The gym is described as having extremely skilled coaches with years of personal experience.
