The Tutor Program connects K–12 children and youth with trauma-informed volunteer tutors. Tutors help with assignments, help with foundational skills, and support planning for college or careers. Tutors meet in person with students once a week.

Child Advocates of Contra Costa County operates the Tutor Program as part of its programs and support for abused and neglected children in foster care to help every child find a permanent home and complete their education. The Tutor Program is part of Child Advocates of Contra Costa County, which also operates a Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program and a Reproductive Health Program. Tutors are volunteers trained in trauma-informed practices. Child Advocates of Contra Costa County has received a Platinum rating from Guidestar and a four-star rating from Charity Navigator. In partnership with the Department of Public Health and Children and Family Services, Child Advocates of Contra Costa County provides reproductive healthcare services and information on contraception, STIs, consent, healthy relationships, and referrals to trusted providers for youth in foster care.
