About
Wah Dojo Kyokushin Karate offers Kyokushin Karate classes that include sparring, as well as an Adult Kata class and Dutch Kickboxing. Spectators are allowed to sit inside and watch classes, and students must wear shoes into the dojo and have clean feet before getting on the mat.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Adult Kata class on Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Dutch Kickboxing on Fridays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with opening hours Monday–Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (class times vary)
Wah Dojo Kyokushin Karate offers a New Student FREE TRIAL, month-to-month tuition, and does not use contracts or package deals. The dojo suggests that students use hand sanitizer upon entry, and it is available throughout class. Students are responsible for bringing their own water and must supply their own sparring gear, as no gear is loaned out. Wah Dojo was founded in 1992 by Shihan Wah, and the stated goal for training is to work hard, dedicate to the training, and forge mind and body to be better each day. Some families describe the dojo’s culture as a second family, and the program promotes a family environment where parents and family members are welcome to stay and watch training. Wah Dojo interacts regularly with several affiliated dojos and gyms, including Budo Karate in Lafayette, Kin Ryu Dojo in Placerville, Cappa Kyokushin Karate in Northridge, Mires Martial Arts in Concord, Aikido of Contra Costa at Wah Dojo, and D.G. Combat Sports at Studio 925 with Coach Tony De Souza.
