About
Kids Summer Pottery Camp gives kids time to work with clay through wheel throwing, slab building, sculpting, and underglazing. The program includes creating whimsical ceramic villages, characters, and storytelling scenes inspired by castles, cottages, and fairy tale worlds. Each camp is limited to 8 kids and uses premium materials to make pottery pieces.
• Ages: 7–13 years old
• Schedule: Two 4-day pottery camps from July 6, 2026 – July 23, 2026
Kids Summer Pottery Camp runs in a family-run ceramic studio with hands-on guidance in a fun, creative, and inspiring studio environment. The studio’s mission states that every offering is rooted in the belief that clay is for everyone. The camp is part of a studio that has locations in Laguna Beach, Costa Mesa, and Santa Monica. The leadership team includes Nicole, founder of Artime Barro, and Gabriela, Nicole’s mom and inspiration for the studio.
Parents and students have shared feedback such as, “What a great experience, a must-do if you're into the Arts and being creative!” from Jeremy, and comments about friendly, patient, informative, and encouraging staff from Steve. Amy described it as a great environment with teachers who made learning pottery fun, and Candace mentioned having a great time and experience at the Costa Mesa location.
