Friday Fun Day is available as an option for families who want an additional day, runs 9am–4pm, and does not include lunch, so campers bring a packed lunch; Friday Fun Day is not available during Week 2 and Week 4 due to federal holidays. The camps are founded on Christian values and principles, and campers from all faiths attend.

Program credentials include a 2014 NAIA National Championship, 2014 NAIA National Coach of the Year and Golden State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honors, a 2021 Golden State Athletic Conference Championship, top-25 national rankings in each of the last eight seasons, and ranking as one of the top teams in the NCAA Division II West Region in 2025. The camp’s mission states that campers are coached, trained, and molded into better basketball players through skill instruction and are taught and encouraged to develop positive character traits, with values that are Biblically based and aimed at shaping campers into young men and women who impact their friends, families, neighborhoods, schools, and communities; the mission also states that every child is valued and honored and that each camper will leave as a leader with confidence, integrity, and enthusiasm for success on and off the court. Community involvement elements include information for all campers about Vanguard University as a future college choice and season passes to Vanguard home basketball games.
