About
RFK Costa Mesa Camp and Mentoring Program includes a summer camp, a year-round mentoring program, and a mentoring club. The program is run by a group of Christ believers and is made possible by donors and volunteers. It is part of Royal Family Kids, which focuses on foster care children through camp and mentoring activities.
• Ages: 6–11 years old
• Schedule: Summer camp session from July 26th to July 31st, 2026
Through its summer camp and year-round mentoring program, the mission of Royal Family Kids is to make a difference in the lives of foster care children by providing them with positive memories and loving adult Christian role models. RFK is a camp and mentoring club that serves foster children in local communities and partners with Rockharbor Church (www.rockharbor.org) and St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (www.sapres.org). The program serves foster children between the ages of 6 and 11, helps build self-esteem, and plants seeds of hope for the future. It challenges assumptions that adults are bad and that God has forgotten about the children, and it teaches that current circumstances do not define the future and that they have a Father in heaven who loves them and has a positive plan for them. The program is based on a belief in a clear biblical call to serving foster children and offers a year-round mentoring program with opportunities for lifelong relationships. Volunteers involved with RFK have been moved to serve in foster ministries at their churches, volunteer as court appointed special advocates (CASA), seek careers as social workers, and become foster and adoptive parents.
